Getaran

Getaran is a Malay word meaning vibration, shaking, or pulse. The work takes this idea of physical energy as a starting point, transforming it into a musical expression of momentum, excitement, and youthful vitality.

Beyond its literal meaning, Getaran also reflects my interest in music as a shared form of communication. The energy of the work passes between composer, performers, and audience, creating a space where sound becomes a common language—one shaped by movement, resonance, and collective experience.
