Program Note:

“It Rained! The Ants Ran…” depicts a scene where the ants starts moving out from their nest to a higher place before the rain. The piece starts with a stable detached 8th note bass line with a contrasting chromatic 16th note melodic line. The music depicts the scenery where the ants are moving nervously but still, there is a clear line of them. On the climax, the music filled with clusters to imitate the thunder sound. The main theme then appeared again but getting softer towards the ending, just like the line of ants are going faraway…
